Study on the wear resistance of high aluminum-zinc base alloy (30% -- 45%Al)

The wear-resisting properties of zinc-based alloys with aluminum content of 30%,40% and 45% under different conditions were investigated. The test results show that the wear-resisting properties of these zinc-based alloys are obviously better than those of tin bronze ZCuSn6Zn6Pb3 and aluminum bronze ZCuAl9Fe4 under the premise of ensuring good casting soundness. Proper as-cast aging can improve the wear resistance of high Al - Zn base alloy. In addition, the influence of casting soundness on the wear resistance is also analyzed, and the wear resistance mechanism of high Al-Zn base alloy is preliminarily discussed.
