Proportionally edited broadcast

Tungsten nickel - iron alloy is an important tungsten - based heavy alloy. They are alloys made by adding nickel and iron to tungsten, and by adding other metallic elements on top of it. The ratio of nickel to iron added is generally 7:3 or 1:1 [1].

Feature editing broadcast

Tungsten-nickel alloy is characterized by high sintering density, good strength and plasticity, and certain ferromagnetism. It has good plasticity and machinability, good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, and has excellent absorption capacity for gamma rays or X-rays.

(1) specific weight: the general gravity is 16.5-18.75g/cm3;

(2) High strength: tensile strength of 700-1000Mpa;

(3) Strong absorption of rays: 30-40% higher than lead;

(4) high thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of tungsten alloy is 5 times that of die steel;

(5) the coefficient of thermal expansion is small: only iron or steel 1/2-1/3;

(6) Good conductive property; Because of its good electrical conductivity, it is widely used in lighting and welding industry.

(7) Good weldability and machinability [2].

Use editing broadcast

Tungsten-nickel alloy is widely used and has become the main tungsten heavy alloy with the largest amount. As a general application, such as counterweight, balance hammer, radiation shielding device, etc., are directly used sintered alloy; However, for applications requiring high mechanical properties, tungsten-nickel-iron alloys require deformation processing and heat treatment to achieve strengthening.

(1) Tungsten-nickel alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of gyroscope rotors, guiding devices and shock absorbers for aviation and aerospace applications;

(2) die casting die, tool clamp, boring bar and automatic watch hammer for mechanical manufacturing;

(3) cores of armor-piercing bullets for conventional weapons, riveting heads and switch contacts for electrical products;

(4) In addition, it is also used to manufacture various shielding parts for ray prevention [3].

Summary editing broadcast

(1) Under the condition of slow cooling after sintering, the mechanical properties of high nickel-iron ratio tungsten alloy are significantly lower than those of traditional nickel-iron ratio tungsten alloy, while the comprehensive mechanical properties of high nickel-iron ratio tungsten alloy are much better than those of traditional nickel-iron ratio tungsten alloy under the condition of solution quenching.

(2) Under the condition of solid solution quenching, the strength and toughness of tungsten alloy increase with the increase of nickel-iron ratio. When the nickel-iron ratio reaches 9/1, the mechanical properties of tungsten alloy reach the maximum value, and then the alloy performance decreases with the continuous increase of Ni/Fe ratio. The optimal Ni/Fe ratio increases from 7/3 to 9/1.

(3) When the tungsten alloy with high Ni-Fe ratio is sintered and cooled slowly, the non-dispersive β phase precipitates in the bonding phase and the interface between tungsten and bonding phase, which seriously harm the mechanical properties of the alloy. The solid solution quenching heat treatment process can inhibit the precipitation of β phase in the bonding phase, which greatly improves the strength and toughness of the alloy
