C18200 belongs to the American standard chrome copper, implementation standard: RWMA Class 2 (ASTM is short for American Society for Testing and Materials,) C18200 has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, high hardness, wear resistance, knock resistance, crack resistance and softening temperature, Welding electrode loss is small, welding speed is fast, the total welding cost is low, suitable for welding machine electrode related pipe fittings. C18200 has high strength and hardness at room temperature and high temperature (400ºC), good electrical and thermal conductivity, wear resistance and friction reduction. After timely hardening treatment, the strength, hardness, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity are significantly improved; Easy to weld and braze, in the atmosphere and fresh water has good corrosion resistance, high temperature oxidation resistance, can withstand good pressure treatment in hot and cold; However, the disadvantage is that it is sensitive to notch, which causes stress concentration in notch and sharp corner, and is easy to cause mechanical damage. Therefore, it is not advisable to add commutator pieces. On the one hand, the Luo element in C18200 significantly increased the recrystallization temperature and heat intensity; Copper, on the other hand, is slightly less conductive. The softening strength of C18200 is 400, twice that of cold working. Can be used in casting and deformation state.
As a high-strength, highly conductive copper alloy, C18200 copper alloy is even commonly referred to as beryllium copper, phosphor bronze, nickel-silver brass, or added Sn brass:
1) In copper alloys, beryllium copper is strong, but beryllium copper is very harmful to the human body (especially in the molten state, even when the beryllium vapor is very small, very dangerous). As a result, it is difficult to scrap beryllium copper manufacturing parts or products including beryllium copper manufacturing parts (especially incineration), and the * initial cost required to manufacture melting equipment becomes extremely high. Therefore, in order to obtain the desired characteristics, solution treatment is required at the final stage of manufacturing, including economic issues of manufacturing cost.
2) Phosphor bronze. Nickel silver is difficult to manufacture by hot rolling because of its poor thermal workability, so it is usually manufactured by horizontal continuous casting. As a result, productivity is poor, energy costs are higher and yield is poor. In addition, phosphor bronze and nickel silver, as representative varieties of high strength, contain a lot of expensive Sn.Ni, so there are economic problems, low conductivity.
3) Although brass and brass with Sn only are cheap, they not only cannot satisfy the balance of strength and elongation, but also have poor stress relaxation characteristics. Corrosion resistance issues (stress corrosion and deszincing corrosion) are not suitable as components of the above-mentioned products seeking miniaturization, reliability improvement and high performance.
Compared with beryllium copper, it has the following characteristics:
1. High stress relaxation resistance, good thermal stability, wide range of aging, high yield, long-term use at high temperature (100-250). Upright performance is particularly good.
2. Good electrical conductivity, conductivity 80IACS.
3. Good corrosion resistance.
4. Good electroplating performance.
