16MnCr5 is a steel introduced from Germany, equivalent to China's 16CrMnH steel (refer to GB/T 5216-2004), has a better hardenability and machinability, for larger cross-section parts, heat treatment can be higher surface hardness and abrasion resistance, low-temperature impact toughness is also higher. 16MnCr5 gear steel by carburising and quenching is used, mainly used in the manufacture of gears, worms, seals Bushings and other parts.
