Product Description

718 NACE is a nickel-based alloy manufactured according to the NACE MR-01-75 specification. The difference between 718 AMS is that the chemical composition is adjusted, the range of components is reduced, and the annealing and aging temperatures are different, resulting in different material properties. 718NACE has reduced mechanical properties (yield strength from 150 ksi to 120 ksi), but better toughness and better corrosion resistance. 718NACE hardness up to 40HRC, also lower than 718 AMS. However, the comprehensive performance of the 718NACE is more suitable for oil and gas environments containing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide, such as valves, fittings, MWD / LWD components, salvage tools, pump shafts, wellhead assemblies.
 
By heat treatment, 718 AMS grade material can be converted into 718 NACE, but this process is very complex, it is not recommended. It is best to use the original production by the NACE standard 718. Although the chemical composition of the difference, 718 NACE UNS number is still N07718, and 718 AMS consistent.

Heat treatment

Method 2: Get the best room temperature and low temperature tensile strength
1066 ° C heat treatment for 1-2 hours, air cooling + 718 ° C, 8 hours, 56 ° C / hour cooling to 621 ° C, 8 hours of insulation, and then air cooled.

The furnace temperature of the hot working does not exceed 1121 ° C. If the operating temperature is below 593 ° C, the cold working temperature range is controlled at 927-1010 ° C, which can provide forging strength. Forging for a long time to avoid heating in the furnace.

Annealing state and aging hardening state can be added. Aging hardening state more convenient to cut, surface finish better. The material of the annealed state, the machine tool life is slightly longer.
