7010 aluminum is a 7000-series aluminum alloy: the main alloying addition is zinc and it is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 7010 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-7010. AlZn6MgCu is the EN chemical designation. A97010 is the UNS number. Additionally, the British Standard (BS) designation is DTD5130.
It originally received its standard designation in 1975.
The properties of 7010 aluminum include ten common variations. This page shows summary ranges across all of them. For more specific values, follow the links immediately below. The graph bars on the material properties cards further below compare 7010 aluminum to: 7000-series alloys (top), all aluminum alloys (middle), and the entire database (bottom). A full bar means this is the highest value in the relevant set. A half-full bar means it's 50% of the highest, and so on.

Aluminium / Aluminum alloys are known for their strong corrosion resistance. They are sensitive to high temperatures ranging between 200 and 250°C (392 and 482°F), and can lose some amount of their strength. However, the strength of the aluminum alloys can be increased at subzero temperatures, thus making them perfect low-temperature alloys.
Aluminium / Aluminum 7010 alloy is a wrought alloy type. The following datasheet provides more details about the chemical composition and mechanical properties of Aluminium / Aluminum 7010 alloys.
